What is Cholesterol? High or low cholesterol levels can create health issues. Cholesterol is an essential part of every cell structure in the human body. Cholesterol insulates the nerves and is vital for nerve function and brain function. Cholesterol is a huge component to all sex hormones. Cholesterol is a fatty substance manufactured in the liver, transported into the bloodstream where it goes to do repair work for your body. Cholesterol gets in to blood stream, that is mostly water based, the fatty substance attaches to molecules called lipoproteins.
There are two types of lipoproteins:
HDL- Healthy cholesterol carries unneeded cholesterol away from the cells and back to the liver. In a healthy liver this cholesterol is then broken down and removed from the body.
LDL- low-density lipoproteins carry cholesterol from the liver to the places where it is needed.The problem with this is LDL encourages the deposit of cholesterol in the arteries. Very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) increases the risk of coronary artery disease.
The key to this picture is balance. The body should balance the HDL and the LDL. Not enough HDL cholesterol will form plaque that sticks to artery walls and can lead to heart disease. Cholesterol is greatly influenced by eating habits, digestive processes, liver toxicity, and genetic makeup.

Plant sterol complex- are recommended to help reduce LDL cholesterol. Phytosterols lower cholesterol by interfering with its absorption in the small intestine.
Cayenne - helps cardiovascular disease because of its stimulating action and ability to breakdown cholesterol build-up.
